Clutch
Are you having problems with your clutch? Do you find it difficult to change gears? Or does it seem like there’s no power in your car? The problem could be the clutch, the clutch is made of a large disc located between the engine and gearbox . The disc is attached to the engine and spins. When your foot is released from the clutch to move, the disc is forced against the gear box resulting in the gears turning. It is made of a very strong material similar to brake pads which can wear out. The disc allows the clutch to slip a little as it touches plate of the gearbox, giving you a smooth take off. In order to access the clutch the gearbox needs to be removed. This is quite a labour intensive task which is why replacing your clutch can be expensive.
